What Is Inbound Marketing?

Inbound marketing focuses on attracting prospective customers and converting them to actual customers. Consider the analogy of a freshly baked pie. The steam wafts throughout the house and entices potential diners for a slice. That steam is inbound marketing.

In comparison, traditional marketing can be pushy by sending unwanted messages to poorly targeted customers. You may already be familiar with some traditional marketing tactics like direct mailers, TV, magazine and radio ads.


What is Content Marketing?

Continuing the analogy a little further, content marketing is all the tasty bits of the pie: the flour, sugar, butter, and fresh fruit. Content marketing includes all enticing and high quality content: blogging, email blasts, landing pages, newsletters, vlogging (video blogging), and infographics to name a few.
